Camp Tecumseh  - Link to their Home Page
Tecumseh Camp Area Map - (pdf)

12635 W. Tecumseh Bend Rd.
Brookston, IN 47923
Located just 20 miles north of Lafayette, Indiana, Camp Tecumseh is easily accessible by car just off Interstate 65.
We are 1.25 hours from Indianapolis and 3 hours from Chicago's O'Hare airport. Camp Tecumseh is located halfway between Brookston and Delphi, Indiana, one mile north off state road 18 onto Springboro Road north. Just .9 mile north from the State Road 18 \ Springboro Road turnoff, signs mark the "Tecumseh Bend Road" which leads to the Camp Tecumseh entrance.

Notes of Importance:
* There is ZERO alcohol tolerance for this event (groups have not been allowed to return   because of alcohol use)
* Be sure to sign up for horseback riding when you arrive and sign in (times fill quickly ). Many tribes have learned to plan this ahead and have the first arriving member sign up all members at one time so they can ride together.
* Cabin assignments will be distributed at the Longhouse prior to the event as well as posted at venue registration.
* Be sure to plan you tribe skit (very important part of the weekend!!!)
* Hiking to the "Ghost Cabin" is a fun activity. Are you up to the adventure?

CABIN ASSIGNMENTS 2010 (PDF)

Click above link for the FINAL cabin assignments for Tecumseh; there are 2 worksheets -- one for River Village, one for Lake Village.  We have 307 attending.  I tried my best to honor requests for River or Lake Villages or specific cabins.  In some cases I could, in others I couldn’t, due primarily to tribe numbers … we have 4 tribes with over 30 attending, 2 of which have close to 40 attending.

I also just got off the phone with the Camp Director and was informed that all BRRyall IP guests staying in the Lake Village MUST go to the River Village for meals and activities.  Apparently they have 3 other groups using the dining hall and some lodges in the Lake Village that weekend.

Logistics
§         Tecumseh is on EST so is 1 hour ahead of Chicago.
§         If going down FRI p.m. check in begins at 4:30p at Lake Village Lodge (even if staying at River Village).  I provided list of tribes that have folks spending FRI.  Your assigned cabins will be unlocked for you in advance.  If you have tribe members arriving late on FRI please let them know in advance which cabin(s) you’ve been assigned in event check-in is closed.
§         If going down SAT you can check in at Lake Village Lodge or River Village Trading Post.
§         Sign up for horse rides and buy tics for rifle range at Lake Village Lodge or River Village Trading Post.
§         Send 2 table setters (aka “Hoppers”) 15 mins. prior to every meal to set up tables.
§         DON’T FORGET TO PLAN A SKIT FOR SAT PM

Alternative Friday Night to Tecumseh

Over the past several years numerous tribes have spent Friday evening at the Best Western Brandywine in Monticello , IN.  This motel has a pool, and health club as well as a continental breakfast included with the stay.  It is a short drive to Tecumseh allowing for a full Saturday at the camp with nice Friday evening ammentities at the motel.
