50's
60's Dance Event
Coordinator - Mark Crane
The annual Princess
50s-60s dance will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January
10, 2010, in the gym at the B R Ryall YMCA. The cost is only
$5 per Princess and $10 per Dad (maximum $20 per family), which
includes pizza, cookies, pop/juice, and an evening of dancing and
fun. There is NO ADVANCE REGISTRATION for this event.
Participants will register and pay at the door.
Dads, the
girls love this event! We'll have a top-notch DJ playing dance
music from all eras--everything from be-bop tunes of the 50s to
the Beatles to 70s and 80s rock, and even a few of the
current tunes that the older girls listen to on their
ipods. The decorations and dance floor lighting will
transform the gym into a fun sock-hop atmosphere. Best of
all, your daughter won't care whether your dance moves are
ready for prime time. She'll love taking Daddy's hand
to spin around the dance floor as you create more great
memories of your time together in the Indian Princess program.
Chiefs,
please encourage participation from your tribe--the more who
attend, the more fun the event is for everyone. Since
there is no advance registration, to help plan for
buying pizza and refreshments chiefs will be asked to provide
an estimate of likely attendance from their tribes at the
December or January longhouse.
 Chicago Bulls vs. Washington
Wizards Event Coordinator - Joe
Kozlowski

The Nation will be cheering on
the Bulls on January 15th. If you have ordered your tickets Joe will
be handing them out at the January longhouse, so be sure your
chief is in attendance. If you still wish to go to the
game, call Joe Kozlowski at 630-231-5630. The cost is
$20 per ticket and if you send him the money he can call the Bulls
for additional tickets.

Tree Sales Pool Pizza Party Coordinator: Courtney Hack
As a thank you from the
YMCA to all of the volunteers that helped unload, set up and sell
Christmas trees this year, the YMCA is once again hosting a pizza
pool party. The date is January 31st. The pool, Kidz Zone and
climbing wall will be open from 5:00 - 7:00. The gym will be open
from 5:00 - 8:00 with pizza being served from 7:00 -

Museum Sleepover Coordinator:
Wayne Kriemelmeyer
Very good news. We have
planned a second Shedd sleepover on April
9th. If you were not able to get into the first Shedd sleepover
on March 19th or did not sign up for the event, nows your
chance. We are guessing that we will have about 100-150 folks
participating in this sleepover, although we can have up to 300
spots at this point. The cost is $60 per person and it includes
parking. Please let Wayne know if you are interested and
approximately how many will likely go from your tribe because
he needs to get them a down payment to reserve our spots. Wayne will
be collecting money for the event at the December 1st
Longhouse. (We will NOT be able to
switch tribes from the March 19th date to this one.). You must
be registered in the program to attend this
event.

Next Longhouse
The November
Longhouse will be on January 5th; 8pm at the Y. Items due
at the longhouse include: Winter Campout Registration and
payment Indi-N-500 registration Shedd Sleepover

Something personal. I have tried this and
it is not a scam
XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING
COOL
If
you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a
thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a
soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who
gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed
services.
How
AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!
It is FREE and it only takes a
second.
Wouldn't
it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?
Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over
there need to know we are behind them.
This
takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you.
Please take the time to pass it on for others to do.
We can never say enough thank you's.
Thanks for taking to time to support our
military!
